Rainy Day Rhyme

Sprickle, sprackle,
Trickle, tickle;
Raindrops fall
And puddles mingle.

Puddles mingle,
Hair lies flat —
Where on earth
Did I leave my hat?

Did I leave my hat
upon my boots?
Toes are cold;
Shoes go squoosh.

Raindrops trail
Down my neck —
That’s an ickle
Trickle tickle!

  1. I love this one!
    (luckily, I remembered my hat before we got out of the driveway this morning)

  2. I remembered my umbrella, but I was thinking of this as a kid’s piece, kind of Blue’s Clue aged kids, so didn’t figure they’d think of umbrellas for the most part. LOL 🙂 Thank you for the kind comment!
